Located on the ground floor of the AVA Little Tokyo apartment building, this contemporary Indonesian restaurant tenant improvement was completed in 2018. The project presented unique challenges, as it occupies a street-level space within a 7-story mixed-use building, with apartments above and underground parking below.

Ziese Architecture was brought on to reimagine the space for a new tenant. The redesign seamlessly blends industrial exposed systems, contemporary massing, and authentic Indonesian textiles to create a dramatic and alluring interior that complements the restaurant’s distinctive cuisine. This transformation allowed us to bring the client’s vision to life, creating a memorable and inviting environment for diners in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles.
